Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga may not have won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in A Star Is Born (2018), but she did walk away with Best Original Song in 2019 for the film's big number, "Shallow."

The singer was previously nominated in 2016 for Best Original Song for "Til It Happens to You" from the documentary film The Hunting Ground (2015). She received another nomination in the same category in 2023 for "Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick (2022).

Fun fact: Barbra Streisand won Best Original Song when she played the woman lead and wrote the love theme "Evergreen" for the 1976 adaptation of A Star Is Born.

She was later nominated in 1992 for Best Picture for producing her The Prince of Tides (1991) and for Best Original Song for "I Finally Found Someone" from Streisand's self-directed movie The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996).
